Maya Shimon (四門 摩耶 Shimon Maya) is a secondary main character in the Seiken Tsukai no World Break series.
Appearance
Maya is a young child-like girl with long, flowing blonde hair and teal colored-eyes. She is always seen wearing a blue ribbon on top of her head to style her hair. She wears a a blue dress, a little bit above knee length, a red tie and a white corset.
Personality
Maya appears to be childish, air-headed and in some instances mischievous, but at the same time she is also very cheerful, always smiling and welcoming of her peers. She is also shown to be very caring of her friends, particularly Moroha.
While she seemingly appears childish and innocent, she also seems to have a rather mature outlook on life as her narrations throughout the anime adaption of the series are deep and thought-provoking. It seems as if she knows more about her surroundings than any of her peers, perhaps even more than her older sister. This again, is particularly evident in her narrations at the end of the episodes.
(The narration, however, are only done in the anime adaption, so it is unclear whether the author intended for her to appear that way.)
Background
Maya is the younger sister of Akane Academy's principal, Mari Shimon, and the youngest Savior. She is also the youngest (unofficial) student in the Academy as she was forced to attend the academy after her memories of her past life were awoken at an early age.
There isn't much information revealed about Maya's past life, as she and Mari are the only ones who know anything about it. However, Maya does mention in the series that when she started seeing memories of her past life, she was afraid at first and didn't know what to do, but Mari helped her, and assured her that she her past life and current life were both part of her identity and that she is the same person.
Moreover at the end of episode 12, she mentions that she would always remember Moroha's heroism no matter how many times she reincarnates, hinting the extent to which Moroha had made an impact on her.

Powers and Abilities
Field of Dreams
- Maya is able to cast a large field over a certain area, which allows Saviors to fight without seriously injuring one another. Maya demonstrated this ability in Moroha's fight with Edward. Though the field greatly mitigates the power of Dark Arts and Light Arts, exceptionally powerful spells (forbidden) still have quite an impact; Moroha's Cocytus caused the area to snow for days after his fight with Edward.
Transportal
- Maya has some ability to cast her sister's transportal spell. In the anime, she has only finished her sister's incomplete incantation.
Driving: Despite being only 10, she can drive a car. Whether or not she has a license is unknown.
